À Ṣ À
ÀṢÀ, pronounced ‘Asha’ phonetically, is a Yoruba word meaning Culture.
Since myself and my partner, Yinka. who is Yoruba and from Lagos, Nigeria, have been traveling to Nigeria together, I have become fascinated with the culture and especially the local and indigenous craft.
Our Nigeria and UK lives have woven together into our daily life. So, on our last trip in April 2025, we decided to bring a little culture home to the UK with a curated collection of beautiful and skilfully handmade woven products.
All items are made by hand using natural local grasses and dyes. The curve shaped baskets and fans are made in Ghana and all other items are made in Nigeria. All are sourced from the amazing art and craft markets in Lagos where you can see items being made.
We are excite to share these treasures with you!
