If there is a genuine mistake in your order, I am happy to swap or alter your item if possible to make it work for you. Unfortunately due to the nature of my work being handmade, refunds are not granted. If you need to return your purchase for an exchange or alteration please ensure you return it in its original packaging in the condition it arrived in, and returned in the same method as it arrived with you, you can send it to my studio address:

Refunds, exchanges and alterations are solely the decision of Clare Hillerby.

My work suits being made tailor made for you and so I am happy to make bespoke items based on the designs in my shop.

For example, you can choose other bead types. I use semi-precious or precious beads only which are subject to availability but I will do my best to track your preferred type. I can make a necklace or pendant to your preferred length. You may like to choose alternative stamps than those illustrated online, in which case please refer to the samples on each relevant item to get an idea of what you like, and contact me with your requirements. I hold a selection of UK maps and sometimes can trace a location for a customer, just let me know and I can see what I can find. I can also make items with your own old paper treasures, in which case please get in touch to discuss your ideas.

There may be a charge for sourcing alternative ephemera or beads, but this can be discussed before confirming your final bespoke item.

Bespoke orders will take between 2 to 8 weeks from my confirmation of your final order and payment being made in full, subject to the arrival of any sourced items. I will send you a PayPal invoice to confirm your order, which can be safely paid online using all major credit and debit cards. Please let me know if you need it for a specific date during discussing your order and I will let you know if it is possible.

Please note that bespoke items cannot be swapped, exchanged or refunded so please ensure you are happy with all our discussions when arranging your commission.

Please use ‘Silver Clean’ or ‘Silver Dip’ on purely white silver items to maintain the matt finish, it is an easy process of submerging your item for a minute or more if necessary, then rinse well and pat dry gently. Clean purely oxidised silver items using warm water with a soft old toothbrush and pat dry well. Oxidising can wear over time which brings out the textures I have given the silver, but if you prefer, they can often be re-done, please see below. Please avoid water on items with paper, the perspex is there to help protect the paper, but should water get under the perspex, remove item and leave to dry naturally. Rulers can be cleaned using a regular cleansing wipe and patted dry afterwards. Please avoid storing items with paper in direct sunlight, I advise you keep it in the original packaging which will also save it from being scratched.

I am happy to repair items where possible, please email me with details of the problem and images if you can and I will quote you a price for my time, materials and return postage. I can also replace a lost earring, stud or cufflink for example, generally I charge half the current cost of a full pair, plus postage. I can also give your pieces a re-fresh, clean up or re-oxidise if needed, I can also often replace papers to give an item a new lease of life. Feel free to contact me and let me know your requirements and I will give you a quote.

Gift Certificates are available in £20, £25, £50 and £100 denominations. You can buy as many of each as you need to create the required value for your gift and are valid for one year from your order date.

A paper Gift Certificate will be posted within 5 working days, please let me know if you need it urgently and I will do my best to post it the same day as ordered. Your Gift Certificate will be sent via Royal Mail First Class delivery. Please select ‘Gift Certificate’ on check for Free Delivery. I will send it to the address you supply which can be yourself or direct to the person it is for with a note to say who it is from, in this instance I will confirm with the you, the buyer when it has been delivered.
